The Personal Outline.

As writers, we all get to understand the importance of having an outline at some point as we put our writing talents to work. This condensed yet important structure sets the ground rules under which the magic will happen. When used wisely, our outline can become one of our most valuable resources.

A good preliminary content structure can guide the topic, length, format, and even tone choices we will make when writing our art. If writing was like walking through a path at night, then outlines would be the light posts that we could not do without.

However, in the process, it is often rather easy to forget one element that should always be at the base of it all: ourselves. Throughout the writing process, we are omnipresent, at the base of everything, taking care of even the smallest and most final detail.

Despite how obvious the fact above might be, seems to be invisible to most professional writers out there. For many, once the redacting begins, the writer becomes nothing short of an instrument that is only considered to fulfill a specific purpose… kind of like phones. When we no longer need them, our phones generally remain out of sight.

Nothing short of machines
